SIWES/IT UNIT

As a recognized tertiary technological institution, we are fully registered and accredited  by the Industrial Training Fund (I.T.F) for our students SIWES/IT experience to enhance their skills and technical abilities to improve their employment prospects and self-reliance in a changing national and global economic system which increasingly emphasizes the principles of ideas, creativity and innovations based on demonstrable skills. We are determined, in partnership with the I.T.F, to continue to put our students in the forefront of attaining the full technical hands-on potentials to establish their sustainable future.

The Institution has a dedicated SIWES unit headed by a senior officer who reports directly to the office of the Registrar. Every department have a representative in the SIWES office and in conjunction with the I.T.F area office, periodic staff trainings to meet with the objectives enunciated in the scheme shall be held on the campus of Leadtech. The institution therefore places a great premium on definite skills acquisition in addition to proven academic excellence at all times.

Students on Placement List of SIWES and who finally qualified and are shortlisted in the Master List are expected to find their own organizations of SIWES. However, the Institution management is committed to, as a matter of policy, assist students to find places of industrial attachment and SIWES placements. Students are to note that the Industrial Training Fund (I.T.F) also has a robust arrangements for finding and placing SIWES students in appropriate organizations for their industrial work experience.
